Chef Burak Ozcan brings nearly two decades of culinary and hospitality experience to Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen®. After beginning his career in the kitchens of prestigious five-star Mediterranean resorts, he relocated to Dallas in 2011 and worked alongside celebrity chef Stephan Pyles to help launch several acclaimed restaurant concepts. His experience leading culinary teams in full-service hotels throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area inspired him to create his signature "Tex-Med" cuisine—Modern Mediterranean with a Texan Twist®. Since opening the first Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen® in 2019, Chef Burak has remained committed to delivering scratch-made cuisine, warm hospitality, and memorable dining experiences that have earned the restaurant a devoted following of "Ferah Foodies" and numerous industry accolades.
Jeremy Berlin
Managing Partner
Jeremy Berlin is the Managing Partner of Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen, bringing more than two decades of hospitality leadership to the restaurant. Throughout his career, he has held executive positions at hospitality properties across six states, managing more than $500 million in assets and leading hotel operations, food and beverage teams, and guest experience initiatives. Most recently serving as Area General Manager of three properties, Jeremy earned Starwood's Chief Operating Officer of the Year award in 2015. Since co-founding Ferah, he has played a pivotal role in opening the Southlake location and expanding the Ferah family of brands. Jeremy's expertise in strategic planning, financial management, hospitality operations, and front-of-house leadership ensures every guest enjoys the warm, attentive service that has become synonymous with Ferah.
Stephanie Ozcan
Co-Founder
Stephanie Ozcan oversees branding, marketing, and guest communications for the Ferah family of brands while helping shape the welcoming atmosphere that guests experience at Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen®. She designed the interiors of both the Garland and Southlake locations, thoughtfully blending modern design with warm hospitality to create inviting spaces for everyday dining, celebrations, and private events. Beyond the restaurant, Stephanie leads the brand's marketing strategy, media relations, and digital presence, ensuring every guest interaction—from social media and email to stepping through the front door—reflects the genuine hospitality that defines Ferah. Heidi Berlin
Community Relations Manager
With more than 27 years of customer service and hospitality experience, Heidi Berlin is passionate about creating genuine connections with every guest who walks through the doors of Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen®. As Community Relations Manager, she leads the restaurant's involvement in local events, charitable initiatives, and community partnerships throughout Southlake and the surrounding areas. Whether she's welcoming guests during dinner service, supporting the restaurant team, or representing Ferah at local events, Heidi's warm personality and commitment to hospitality help create the welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back time and again.
Tom Urann
Mixologist
Tom Urann brings a passion for craft cocktails, hospitality, and creating memorable bar experiences to Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen®. Originally from Washington, Tom has spent the past several years building his hospitality career in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, developing extensive experience in restaurant operations and guest service.
After years in restaurant management, Tom discovered his true passion behind the bar—creating innovative cocktails and connecting with guests through personalized hospitality. As Ferah's expert mixologist, Tom has played an important role in developing the beverage program at Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen®, from launching bar operations at the Southlake location to training and mentoring the team. A guest favorite at the original Firewheel location, Tom brings creativity, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm to every cocktail he creates, helping make each visit to Ferah a memorable dining experience.
Kadir Aktas
Garland Chef
Chef Kadir Aktas is the Chef de Cuisine at Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen® Garland, where he brings international culinary experience, creativity, and a passion for exceptional hospitality to every dish. Growing up in Turkey, Kadir developed a love for cooking at a young age, inspiring him to pursue a culinary career that has taken him to kitchens around the world, including full-service hotels in Istanbul and Moldova.
Known for his attention to detail, beautiful plating, and commitment to creating memorable dining experiences, Chef Kadir helps bring Ferah's chef-driven cuisine to life every day. His dedication to quality ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and genuine hospitality has made him an integral part of the Ferah culinary team and a favorite among Ferah Foodies.
London Stegman
Marketing Coordinator
London Stegman brings a background in graphic design, hospitality, and sales to the Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen® team. With early experience in the hospitality industry while completing her degree in Graphic Design, London developed a unique perspective that combines creativity, communication, and a passion for creating meaningful guest experiences.

As a storyteller for the Ferah brand, London uses her creative skills to share the heart behind the food, people, and experiences that make Ferah unique. Her ability to blend design with hospitality helps strengthen the connection between the restaurant and its guests, ensuring the Ferah experience extends beyond the dining room.
William Doherty
General Manager of Ferah Southlake
I began my hospitality career at age 14 in a small drive-in burger restaurant in my hometown. From there to fine dining restaurants and 5-star hotels, my journey has been fueled by passion, skill, and adventure. Professionally trained in wine, craft mixology, and restaurant management, my unique style of restaurant leadership is built upon driving revenue through exemplary customer service, state-of-the-art staff development, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I am humbled to be a part of this amazing Ferah team and look forward to serving our guests in Southlake.
